Mexican Chaat is a vibrant fusion snack that creatively combines Mexican flavors with Indian chaat elements. This innovative street food features:
Ingredients
- Doritos or corn chips 10- 12
- Rajma | Red kidney beans 1/4 cup
- Sweet corn kernels 3 tblsp
- Capsicum (red and green) 1 tblsp each
- Potato 1/4 portion
- Olives 4
- Onion 1
- Tomato 1/2
- Sweet chutney 2 tsp
- Green chutney 2 tsp
- Chaat masala 1/4 tsp
- Roasted cumin powder 1/4 tsp
- Sev for garnishing
Instructions
- Cook the over night soaked rajma, potato and sweet corn in a pressure cooker.
- Drain the water and keep it aside.
- Chop the onion,capsicum and tomato finely.
- Cut the olives into circles. Cut the potato into small cubes.
- In a wide bowl add the red kidney beans, potato, sweet corn, olives, capsicum, onion and tomato into it.
- Add the green chutney, sweet chutney, chaat masala and roasted cumin powder.
- Mix well evenly.
- Slightly crush the Doritos and add it to the bowl.
- Gently mix it.
- Add it to the serving plate and garnish with sev.
- Serve immediately.
