Ingredients
  

  • Baguette – 1
  • Cured ham, such as Parisian ham or Bayonne ham – 4-6 slices
  • Salted butter (softened) – 4 tbsp
  • (Optional) Lettuce (shredded) – 1 cup
  • (Optional) Tomato (sliced) – 1 tomato
  • (Optional) Cheese – 4 slices
  • (Optional) Pickles (sliced) – 2

Instructions
 

  • Slice the baguette lengthwise, leaving one edge intact, and open the baguette.
  • Spread the softened butter evenly on both sides of the baguette. 
  • Layer the ham slices evenly on one side of the baguette. 
  • (Optional) Add any additions such as lettuce, tomato slices, cheese, or pickles.
  • Close the baguette, pressing it gently to hold all the ingredients together.
  • Slice the Jambon-Beurre into individual portions, about 4-6 inches in length.
  • You can serve the sandwiches to eat immediately, or wrap them in paper to have them on-the-go. You may want to serve your jambon-beurre with a side salad or potato chips.
