
Doddapatre chutney recipe

Ingredients
- 30-40 doddapathre leaves / Indian Borage leaves
- 3 strands curry leaves / 30-40 curry leaves
- 2 tsp chana dal
- 2 tsp urad dal
- 2-4 red chili
- small marble sized tamarind
- 1 cup grated coconut
- 1 tsp cooking oil
- Salt as per your taste.
Ingredients for tempering:
- 1 red chili
- 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
- 1/2 tsp urad dal
- 2 tsp cooking oil
Instructions
- Wash and pat dry doddapathre leaves. Heat a frying pan, add oil, red chili, chana dal and urad dal. Fry till the dal turns slightly brown. Reduce the flame, add curry leaves and fry for a minute.
- Add doddapathre leaves, fry till the leaves become soft and switch off the stove.
- Grind it with coconut, salt and tamarind. Temper it with oil, red chili, mustard seeds and urad dal. Serve it with rice or dosa.
