Cucumber Slices with Dill
Preparing this refreshing cucumber salad with dill is a breeze. However, do keep in mind that it needs a minimum of 2 hours in the refrigerator to develop its fullest flavor, so be sure to plan accordingly!
Ingredients
- 4 large cucumbers, sliced
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon dried dill weed
- 1 cup white sugar
- ½ cup white vinegar
- ½ cup water
- 1 teaspoon salt (Optional)
Instructions
- Combine cucumbers, onion, and dill in a large serving bowl.
- Combine sugar, vinegar, water, and salt in a medium bowl; stir until sugar dissolves.
- Pour vinegar mixture over cucumber mixture. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving
Notes
The longer this dish marinates in the refrigerator, the tastier it is.
