Colombian Pan De Bono Recipe
Pan de Bono is a traditional Colombian bread made with cheese.
Ingredients
- Cassava flour – 2 cups
- Precooked cornmeal – 1 cup
- Feta cheese (crumbled) – 1 cup
- Mozzarella cheese (shredded) – 1 cup
- Butter (softened) – 1/2 cup
- Eggs – 2
- Baking powder – 1 tsp
- Salt – 1/2 tsp
- Sugar – 1 tbsp
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cassava flour, precooked cornmeal, crumbled feta cheese, shredded mozzarella cheese, softened butter, eggs, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- Mix the ingredients together until a soft, sticky dough forms.
- Using your hands, shape the dough into small balls or rounds, about 2 inches in diameter.
- Place the dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each one.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the Pan de Bono is golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.
