Ingredients
  

  • 4 Bread slices
  • 4 Cooked ham slices
  • 4 Pineapple rings (canned or fresh)
  • 4 Cheese slices (such as Gouda or Emmental)
  • 4 Maraschino cherries (optional)
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Butter each slice of bread on one side and place them on a baking sheet, buttered side down.
  • Place a slice of ham on each piece of bread, followed by a ring of pineapple.
  • Top each pineapple ring with a slice of cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Optional: Top each Toast Hawaii with a maraschino cherry.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve warm.
