- 4 Bread slices
- 4 Cooked ham slices
- 4 Pineapple rings (canned or fresh)
- 4 Cheese slices (such as Gouda or Emmental)
- 4 Maraschino cherries (optional)
- 2 tbsp Butter
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Butter each slice of bread on one side and place them on a baking sheet, buttered side down.
Place a slice of ham on each piece of bread, followed by a ring of pineapple.
Top each pineapple ring with a slice of cheese.
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Optional: Top each Toast Hawaii with a maraschino cherry.
