Ingredients
  

  • 1 medium sized garlic
  • 2-4 red chili
  • 1 cup grated coconut
  • 1 marble sized tamarind
  • 1 tsp cooking oil
  • Salt as per your taste.

Ingredients for tempering:

  • 1 red chili
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  • 4 curry leaves
  • 1 tsp cooking oil

Instructions
 

  • Peel the garlic and chop them into pieces.
  • Next heat a frying pan, add in a tsp oil and red chilis.
  • Once chilis are fried, add in chopped garlic and start frying them under medium flame.
  • Fry garlic pieces till they are slightly brown. Do not over fry them.
  • Take a mixie jar and add in a cup of grated coconut.
  • Followed by add in salt and tamarind.
  • Also add in fried garlic and red chili.
  • Add in required water and grind it into a smooth paste. Transfer it into a bowl.
  • Temper it with oil, red chili, mustard seeds and curry leaves. Serve it with dosa or idli or rice.
