Potato fry

Aloo jeera recipe

Food Wiki
An in-depth recipe for Aloo jeera, also known as potato fry, is provided with clear instructions, accompanied by step-by-step pictures . Aloo jeera is a flavorful side dish or snack made with potatoes, cumin seeds, and a selection of spices. This recipe is both easy to prepare and incredibly delicious. You can serve it as a side dish alongside rice or chapati, or enjoy it as a standalone snack. Potatoes are a delectable vegetable that is highly beneficial for growing children. I acquired this recipe from a Konkani friend, but later discovered that turmeric powder is typically not included in the preparation. Therefore, I have designated turmeric powder as optional. Furthermore, if you are able to cook the potatoes without water, there is no need to add any. For those who enjoy the taste of garlic, you can substitute asafoetida with crushed garlic. To enhance the visual appeal of your potato talasani, consider garnishing it with grated coconut and coriander leaves. Although these additions are not part of the original recipe, they can add an extra touch. Konkani recipes are known for their unique simplicity, avoiding excessive use of ingredients. This potato upkari pairs exceptionally well with rice and dalithoy, a Konkani-style dal.
