
Paan ice cream recipe
Paan Ice Cream is a unique and refreshing Indian dessert that combines the flavors of traditional paan (betel leaf, gulkand, fennel seeds, and other mouth fresheners) with creamy ice cream. This fusion treat is sweet, aromatic, and slightly spicy, offering a cool twist on the classic after-meal paan. It's a popular choice for festive occasions and special gatherings.
Ingredients
- Paan leaves 5
- Fennel seeds | sombu 1 tsp
- Gulkand 1 tbsp.
- Dates 3 (optional)
- Fresh cream 1 cup
- Condensed milk 1/3 cup
- Tutti fruity 2 tsp (optional)
Instructions
- Wash and take out the stem of the paan leaves and cut them roughly.
- Put this in a mixie.
- Add fennel seeds, gulkand, deseeded dates to this and grind into a fine paste.
- No need to add water as the wetness of the gulkand will be enough.
- In a wide bowl add the cream and whip it for a minute. I used the electric beater.
- Add the condensed milk to this and the ground paan mixture.
- Mix well.
- Add the tutti fruiti to this if adding.
- Combine well and transfer it to a box. Freeze it for 6-8 hours.
- Take out and scoop the paan ice cream.
- Serve immediately.
