Ingredients
  

  • 800 gms Mutton
  • 2 medium Onion medium
  • 2 tbsp Chopped ginger
  • 12-15 cloves Garlic
  • 3-4 Green chilly
  • 3 medium Tomato medium
  • 1/2 cup Oil
  • 1 tsp Jeera
  • 1 tbsp Coriander
  • 4-5 Red chilli
  • 1/2 tsp Fenugreek
  • 1 inch Cinnamon
  • 4 -6 Cardamom
  • 6 -8 Cloves
  • 2 Bay leaves
  • 3/4 cup Coconut
  • 2 tbsp Poppy seeds
  • 10-12 Pepper
  • 1 tsp Mustard
  • Curry leaves
  • 1 tsp Turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp Chilli powder
  • Salt

Instructions
 

  • Grind ginger, garlic & green chili. Heat oil in a pan & add jeera, coriander, red chilly, fenugreek,cinnamon,cardamom, cloves,bay leaves. Stir for 30 seconds & add coconut, poppy seeds, pepper. Once coconut becomes golden brown, switch off. Grind this mix into a thick paste.
  • Heat oil & splutter mustard, curry leaves. Add onion, when it becomes golden brown add, ginger, garlic & chili paste. Mix well. Add mutton & stir continuously for 10 min on high flame. Add turmeric, chili powder, salt & tomato. Cook till the oil separates. Add 4 cups of water & boil. Cook till the mutton is done. Add masala paste. Cook for 10 more minutes, till the gravy becomes thick.
