Guatemalan Pastel de Banano Recipe

This cake is made with local ingredients like cinnamon and vanilla extract and is often enjoyed alongside a cup of coffee, another major Guatemalan export.
It’s also popular as a post-workout treat, given bananas' energy-boosting qualities. Each year, on February 23rd, the cake is celebrated in the United States as Día del Pan de Banano.
