Gorikai kara recipe

Ingredients
- 250gm cluster beans
- 1 big onion
- 2 big tomato
- 2-4 green chilies
- 2 cloves garlic
- A pinch of turmeric powder
- 3-4 doddapatre or ajwain leaves (optional)
- 1/4 cup grated coconut
- 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves (optional)
- Salt as per your taste
Ingredients for tempering:
- 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
- 1/2 tsp jeera or cumin seeds
- 5-6 cloves garlic crushed
- 3-4 curry leaves
- 4 tsp cooking oil
Instructions
- Wash, discard the ends and chop the cluster beans into 2cm length pieces. Also chop onion and tomatoes.
- Take chopped cluster beans, tomato, onion, green chilies, 2 cloves of garlic, turmeric powder and salt in a pressure cooker.
- Cook the vegetables by adding little water and by making 2 whistles.
- Wait until cooked vegetables are cool. And then transfer it to a mixie jar. Also add in grated coconut.
- Grind until smooth or coarse paste. I like it to be smooth.
- Prepare tempering in a frying pan using oil, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves and crushed garlic.
- Add in ground vegetables from step 5(cluster beans, tomato, green chilies and onion).
- Bring it to boil. Add in coriander leaves (optional). Adjust the salt. Mix well and switch off the stove.
