Easy Polish Noodles
In my upbringing in South Bend, Indiana, Polish dinner buffets were a frequent occurrence at weddings and funerals. A constant presence at these events was Polish noodles, often served alongside Polish sausage, green beans, mashed potatoes with chicken gravy, and fried chicken. During a visit to a Polish meat market, I acquired this recipe from an elderly Polish lady upon request.
Ingredients
- 1 (49.5 fluid ounce) can chicken broth
- ½ cup water, or as desired
- 1 tablespoon chicken soup base, or more to taste
- 1 (16 ounce) package kluski noodles
Instructions
- Combine chicken broth, water, and chicken base in a 6-quart saucepan and bring to a boil. Add kluski noodles, reduce heat, and simmer until liquid is completely absorbed, 30 to 40 minutes.
