Chinese Bird’s Nest Soup Recipe
Bird's nest soup is a traditional Chinese broth made from the nest of a swiftlet, renowned for its remarkable health benefits and highly valued properties.
Ingredients
- Birds nest – 30g
- Rock sugar – 8 tbps
- Salt – to taste
Instructions
- Steam the nest in a mixture of water and rock sugar overnight.
- Remove and chop the nest into portions, removing any feathers from the mixture and patting dry.
- Add the portions to a pot of boiling water and rock sugar for 2 hours and stir until the sugar has dissolved.
- After 2 hours the birds nest should be soft. Remove the birds nest from the pot and thoroughly pat dry.
- Serve and enjoy!
