Ingredients
- 2 1/2 c. (300 g.) all-purpose flour
- 1 1/4 tsp. kosher salt
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 1/2 c. (320 g.) packed light brown sugar
- 1 c. (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted and cooled
- 1 large egg
- 1 large egg yolk
- 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk flour, salt, and baking soda. In a large bowl, whisk brown sugar and butter until smooth. Add egg, egg yolk, and vanilla and whisk until combined. Add dry ingredients and stir to combine with a rubber spatula. Cover and refrigerate until dough has hardened, at least 2 hours or up to 12.
- Preheat oven to 350°. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment. Using a large cookie scoop (about 3 tablespoons), scoop dough onto prepared sheets, spacing 3" apart.
- Bake until edges are just set and lightly golden, 10 to 12 minutes. Let cool on baking sheets.
