Ingredients
  

  • 6 White bread slices
  • Butter (for applying)
  • 1 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup low calorie sweetener
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • A pinch of nutmeg powder
  • 1/4 tsp green cardamom powder
  • 2 tbsp raisins

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven at 180˚C.
  • Apply butter on one side and cut each into 4 pieces and set aside.
  • Heat milk in a deep saucepan, add the low calorie sweetener and stir till it dissolves. Take the pan off the heat and allow to cool slightly.
  • Take a baking dish and arrange the slices with buttered side up. Set aside.
  • Break in the eggs in the saucepan, add vanilla essence and whisk till well combined.
  • Add nutmeg powder and green cardamom powder and whisk well. Strain the mixture directly on to the bread.
  • Sprinkle raisins and bake for 30 minutes. Take the baking dish out of the oven and allow to cool slightly. Serve warm or cold.
