Black Forest Cake Icing
This frosting recipe complements not only Black Forest cake but also a wide range of other cake varieties. Combine this frosting with cherry pie filling and your preferred chocolate cake for a delectable Black Forest cake experience.
Ingredients
- 3 cups heavy whipping cream
- 4 ½ tablespoons white sugar
- 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
Instructions
- Beat together cream, sugar, and vanilla in a bowl with an electric mixer until stiff. Place in the refrigerator until set, about 15 minutes.
Notes
You can substitute any extract for vanilla. I always use clear vanilla extract with this recipe to make it nice and white.
