Belgian La Dame Blanche Recipe
La Dame Blanche is a classic Belgian dessert made with vanilla ice cream, topped with whipped cream, and drizzled with a warm chocolate sauce. The sauce is crafted from a blend of chocolate, cream, and butter.
Ingredients
- Vanilla ice cream
- Hot fudge sauce
- Whipped cream
- Maraschino cherries
- Shaved almonds – 2
For Hot Fudge Sauce
- Sweetened condensed milk – 1 Can
- Semi-sweet baking chocolate – 4 Oz
- Vanilla – 1 tbsp
Kitchen Items
- Sundae or Wine Glasses – 4
Instructions
- Take a medium-sized saucepan and pour milk into it. Keep the flame on medium-low and add the chocolate into it. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted and the sauce is hot but thick.
- Make sure the chocolate doesn’t burn and take the saucepan off the heat as soon as the chocolate gains its thick consistency. Add vanilla to the sauce after removing the sauce from the heat.
- On a frying pan, start toasting the almond shavings on medium lame. Make sure to add no oil or butter and toast it directly in the pan. As soon as they turn golden brown, remove them from the heat and keep them aside to cool down.
- Now take a sundae dish or a wine glass. Put in 2 scoops of ice cream.
- Pour the freshly prepared chocolate fudge sauce all over the ice cream.
- Spread the almond shavings and put whipped ice cream on the dessert. Place a cherry on top and your dish is all ready to be served!
