
Authentic Choco Lava Cake
Authentic Choco Lava Cake is a rich and indulgent dessert featuring a soft, moist outer layer with a warm, gooey molten chocolate center. Served warm, it pairs perfectly with ice cream or fresh fruits, making it a favorite for chocolate lovers.
Ingredients
- Dark chocolate – 120gms
- Eggs – 2nos
- Sugar – 1/4 cup
- Icing sugar – sprinkle
- Cherry – Garnish
- Butter – 110gms
- Egg Yolks – 2nos
- Refined Flour – 1 tbsp
- Mint sprig – Garnish
Instructions
- Melt butter & chopped chocolate together on a double boiler.
- Whisk them together till very fluffy. Once very fluffy pour the chocolate mix in the eggs slowly while continuously whisking on medium speed. Remove the whisk and added 1 tbsp of flour. Whisk it again.
- In the meanwhile, baste the ramekins with butter and dust with flour. Pour the mixture in the remains and bake in preheated oven 230c for 7-8 mins.
- Remove and let them cook for 2 mins. Can serve garnished with cherry, mint sprig and dusted icing sugar. The other option is to carefully demould it. Dust with icing sugar and garnish with cherry & mint sprig. Serve immediately for lava to flow out.
