British Full English Breakfast (Fry Up) Recipe
A British Full English breakfast is a hearty meal featuring a variety of cooked items, such as bacon, eggs, sausages, and toasted bread.
Ingredients
- Pork sausages – 4
- Bacon (back bacon or streaky) – 6
- Eggs (fried, scrambled, or poached) – 2
- Mushrooms (sliced) – 1 cup
- Tomatoes – 2
- Baked beans – 1 cup
- Black pudding (sliced) – 2
- Bread (sliced) – 2
- Butter – 2 tsp
- Hash browns – 4
- Salt – to taste
- Black pepper – to taste
- Oil or butter (for frying) – 1 tbsp
- Ketchup or brown sauce – to serve (optional)
Instructions
- Pre-heat the oven to 400°F.
- Cook the hash browns in the oven for 15 minutes, until golden brown.
- Heat a large frying pan over medium heat and add the oil or butter.
- Cook the sausages until browned and cooked through, turning occasionally.
- Move the sausages to one side of the pan and add the bacon.
- Fry the bacon until it becomes crispy.
- Remove the bacon and sausages from the pan, set aside and keep warm.
- In the same pan, fry the mushrooms until they are golden and cooked through, then put them to the side.
- Chop the tomatoes in half and add them to the pan and cook until softened.
- Heat the baked beans in a small saucepan over low heat until warmed through.
- Fry the black pudding slices until crisp on both sides.
- In another pan, heat oil or butter and fry the eggs until cooked.
- Toast the bread and spread with butter.
- Serve everything on a plate, seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Serve with ketchup or brown sauce on the side.
