Take one medium sized cucumber.
Finely chop the cucumber. Refer to the image or video. Take tender cucumber and optionally you can peel it.
Heat 1 tbsp oil. Prepare tempering using mustard seeds, cumin seeds and urad dal.
Also add in broken red chillies. Wait until mustard seeds splutter.
Next add in chopped onion, curry leaves and green chilli.
Fry until onions turn soft.
Add in chopped cucumber.
Add in salt as per taste. Also add in asafoetida and turmeric.
Fry and cook until cucumber pieces turn slightly soft. Wait until excess heat is reduced.
Whisk the curd.
Add it into the cooked cucumber.
Give a quick mix. You can adjust the salt as per taste. Serve it with rice, chapati, roti or poori.
