- 1 cup Chana dal (Bengal Gram Dal), soaked for 1 hour
- 1 Mango (Raw), grated
- 2 tablespoon Fresh coconut, grated
- 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder (Haldi)
- 1 Green Chilli , chopped
- 4 sprig Coriander (Dhania) Leaves, chopped
- Salt, to taste
To temper
- 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds (Rai/ Kadugu)
- 1 pinch Asafoetida (hing)
To begin making the Maharashtrian Style Kairichi Dal Recipe, we will first soak the chana dal in water and keep for 1 hour.
Drain the water and blitz it in the mixer till it turns into a coarse mixture.
Heat a saucepan with oil, add mustard seeds and hing and allow it to splutter for 10 seconds.
