Kromeskies Recipe
Cooked chicken and mushrooms wrapped in bacon, coated in batter, and deep-fried.

- 2 chopped onions
- 100 gm finely chopped mushrooms
- 25 gm butter
- 100 gm fresh breadcrumbs
- 2 egg yolks
- Salt and pepper
- Grated nutmeg
- 250 gm cooked chicken/ham
- 16 rashers bacon
For the Batter:
- 175 gm flour
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tsp oil
- 275 ml water
- 2 egg whites
- Oil for frying
For Mustard Mayonnaise:
- 1 Tbsp wholegrain mustard
- 125 ml mayonnaise
- 1 tsp honey
- Pinch of chilli powder
- Salt and pepper
Cook onions and mushrooms in butter until liquid dries.
Combine with crumbs, yolks, cream, seasoning and nutmeg.
Stir in chopped meat/chicken.
Flatten bacon and wrap around Spoonfuls of mixture. Chill.
For the Batter:
Mix flour and salt with oil and water.
When smooth, fold in whipped egg whites.
Dip bacon rolls in mixture. Deep fry in hot oil until golden.
Serve immediately with mustard mayonnaise.
