Chop beans and carrot.
Heat a tbsp of oil in a frying pan. Add in 1/2 tsp mustard seeds, 1 tsp urad dal, 1 tsp chana dal and red chilli.
Wait until mustard seeds splutter and urad dals turn brown. Add in chopped carrot and beans. Fry for a minute.
Add in salt and turmeric powder. Give a quick stir.
Add in 1/4 cup of water and give a quick mix.
Close the lid, stir in between and cook until soft under low flame.
Mean while let us grind the masala. Take the grated coconut in a mixie jar.
Add in onion, green chilli, curry leaves and 1/2 tsp of cumin seeds.
Coarse grind it. Masala is ready, keep it aside.
Wait until carrot and beans are cooked. Add in ground masala.
Give a good mix for a minute under low flame. Switch off the stove and serve it with hot steaming rice or chapathi.
