- Apples (cored and peeled) - 4
- Walnuts (chopped) - 1 cup
- Sugar - 1/2 cup
- Water - 4 cups
- Lemon juice - 2 tbsp
- Whipped cream - for topping
In a large pot, bring water, sugar, and lemon juice to a boil.
Add the apples and simmer until tender, about 10-15 minutes.
Remove the apples and let cool. Reserve the syrup.
Mix chopped walnuts with a bit of the reserved syrup to form a sticky filling.
Stuff each apple with the walnut mixture.
Serve topped with whipped cream.
