- All-purpose flour - 4 cups
- Butter (softened) - 1 cup
- Sugar - 1/2 cup
- Eggs - 2
- Milk - 1/2 cup
- Baking powder - 1 tsp
- Ground almonds or walnuts - 2 cups
- Powdered sugar - 1 cup
- Cardamom (ground) - 1 tsp
In a large bowl, mix flour and baking powder. Add softened butter and mix until crumbly.
Beat in sugar and eggs, followed by milk, to form a dough. Knead until smooth.
In another bowl, combine ground nuts, powdered sugar, and cardamom for the filling.
Roll out the dough and cut into circles. Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each circle, fold into a crescent, and seal the edges.
Decorate the surface with patterns using a fork or special tool.
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes, until lightly golden.
Let cool before serving.
